Bichon Frise

General Appearance: The Bichon Frise is a white, powder puff dog with black eyes, nose, eye rims and halos, lips, and footpads. The coat is naturally curly, but when brushed and groomed in the proper style, it is like velvet or plush. The Bichon Frise does not shed and is great for people with allergies.


Size: The adult dog is sturdy and muscular, approximately 9 to 12 inches tall at the shoulders. Bichons weigh about 10 to 18 pounds, depending on size.


Color: Color is white, and may have shadings of buff, cream or apricot around the ears or on the body.


Temperament: Gentle mannered, sensitive, playful and affectionate. A cheerful attitude is the hallmark of the breed. He has a great temperament, happy disposition, vivid expressions, and is great with children.
